KERSTENS designs an exclusive yet inviting working space in Antwerp’s city centre

A working space in central Antwerp balances privacy and welcome, dressing a professional interior in the comfort of a home.
The plan reads like a series of rooms rather than an open floor, each scaled for conversation. Soft partitions and heavy curtains let the space open up or close down as the day requires.

Materials are warm and tactile: oak, brushed plaster, wool underfoot. The palette signals seriousness without the chill that often comes with it.

Art and objects are placed as they would be in a private residence, lending the rooms a sense of ownership that a standard office never achieves.
