In Ixelles, a culinary space flexes between kitchen, classroom and dining room, held together by honest materials and an open plan.
Stainless steel does the heavy lifting, wrapping a central island that serves equally as prep bench, bar and stage. Around it, the room is kept loose enough to reconfigure for a dinner, a demonstration or a quiet morning service.

Warmth comes from a burr-wood table and a wall of open shelving stacked with ceramics in daily use. Nothing is precious; everything is meant to be handled.

The lighting is theatrical where it counts, a single low pendant over the island, and ambient elsewhere, so attention follows the food rather than the fixtures.
